Prateek Rawat
Film Curator & Programmer | Global South Film Cultures | Cultural Strategy & Festival Practice
I curate cinema and moving image practices across aesthetics, geographies, and histories — building programs that foreground emerging, experimental, and underrepresented voices, with a focus on Asian, MENA, and Latin American film cultures.
My work spans major public festivals such as IFFI, MIFF, and DIFF, as well as consultancy roles with institutional and industry platforms like FICCI FRAMES. Across these spaces, I’ve shaped programming frameworks attentive to both form and context.
Through collaborations with filmmakers, festivals, and cultural institutions, I explore how programming can bridge artistic vision, audience experience, and the circulation of cinema across borders.
Programming & Curation
I curate boundary-shifting film programs that spotlight experimental, arthouse, and underrepresented cinema across Asia, MENA, and Latin America.
Drawing on international festival experience and a deep regional focus, I seek to reframe cinematic contexts, foster cross-cultural dialogue, and champion bold, independent voices.
Festival Strategy & Consultancy
Creative Collaborations
With insight into the global festival landscape, I advise festivals, institutions, and filmmakers on curatorial frameworks, audience engagement, and festival positioning.
My approach combines creative vision with strategic clarity — from lineup design and thematic architecture to long-term planning and visibility mapping.
I build meaningful partnerships across cinema and the arts — collaborating on bespoke programs, dialogues, and interdisciplinary experiences.
Recent work includes special screenings, public conversations, and curatorial mentorship, with a focus on contemporary and collective models of cultural curation.
